The Institute for Artificial Intelligence +X is a university-wide research and education center for artificial intelligence. It has a focus on collaboration across disciplines.

The center conducts externally-funded research in artificial intelligence and associated areas, such as healthcare, medicine, biology, cybersecurity, finance, business, manufacturing, and transportation). It takes a transdisciplinary approach across neuroscience, cognitive science, and computer science. Researchers work with private industry to transition them into products that benefit humanity in an ethical and responsible manner.

The Muma College of Business Behavioral AI Lab provides a collaboration point for researchers and curriculum delivery related to artificial intelligence. The lab focuses on behavioral artificial intelligence which is the application of AI to analyze and influence human behavior.
