The USF AI Strategy Development Group is a team of interdisciplinary experts appointed by the Provost and the Vice President of Information Technology to establish university guidance and recommendations for the ethical and transparent use of AI tools at USF.

The group is responsible for building the foundation for AI governance at USF, providing recommendations for AI best practices, predicting the future needs of work for higher education, and communicating AI initiatives to USF stakeholders.

The group operates with guiding principles to ensure recommendations are in alignment with industry best practices, allow for flexibility and future growth, consider expanding AI capabilities, and are sustainable over time.
